In the next major game update (3.4) we are making a significant change to the way ability points are displayed. Currently ability are rated on a 10 point scale. In 3.4 this will change to be a 100 point scale. When a character is promoted to Veteran Status or above they will receive 10 ability points to spend instead of 1.
While we are changing the way character promotion ability points work we ARE NOT changing the way Memoirs work. That means each memoir will still only grant 1 (ONE) ability point (the last one spent). Due to this in 3.4 the Memoir books will be significantly reduced in cost (about a 10th of what they are now). We are recommending that if you have a memoir book you USE it before 3.4 releases (which will be sometime before the end of the year).
